French:
We've been exploring French Halloween vocabulary in class. The students were divided into two groups and then each student was responsible for creating a creature or object for their group collage. Once the backgrounds were completed and the creatures/objects were attached to the paper the French vocabulary words were affixed. On Thursday, the students were asked to select 8 French Halloween vocabulary words that they would like to learn. Next they were given both individual as well as partner practise time to learn them. This coming Monday, each student will select 6 vocabulary words that they would like to be tested on. All students were asked to practise a bit over the weekend so that their pronunciations become more accurate. In case students have forgotten their lists at school I've included the vocabulary words below.

Remembrance Day:
Our school Remembrance Day assembly is on Friday, November 8th at 10:40 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend! Canadians wear poppies as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. While the Poppies are freely distributed to students and to those who wish to wear one, the Legion gratefully accepts donations to the Poppy Fund. We will be collecting poppy monies this coming week. If possible, please send in all donations by Friday.
